Although initially pegged for a slow start, Mariah's newest love song "You're Mine (Eternal)" will likely open within the top 20. This is way up from the top 40 debut initially predicted. As of press time (4:45 PM PST), the song has picked up in pace and has racked in an impressive 16 points since 5:00 AM PST this morning.
That is extremely strong considering the fact that last night I predicted a debut that amounted to just about 25 spins for today and the rest of the week.
With two versions of the single being released on iTunes, things are really starting to heat up for the song. Both songs are performing really well; the original is #11 and the Trey Songz remix is #35 on the iTunes chart.
The 4:57 PM premiere of the music video will add an additional 5 points to the song's total and Twitter voters will likely eat all of this up.
I now expect a top 15 debut with a possibility of a top 10 debut. Come back later this week for more updates.
