Chart Highlights: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Jump to #2

Robin Thicke pushes 2-1 with "Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. and Pharrell Williams)". Despite reaching the penthouse position, the song is down in airplay (although ever so slightly). This marks one of the very few times that a song has ascended into the top slot with a point loss.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis net a 3rd consecutive top 5 as "Same Love (feat. Mary Lambert)" skyrockets 10-2 as the charts biggest airplay gainer for a second consecutive week. Their previous two singles hit the top spot. If this song can reach the penthouse, there is a possibility that it could complete the longest trek to the top and it will put Macklemore & Ryan Lewis within reach of the "Most #1 Singles" honor which is held by Rihanna & Nicki Minaj (4 each). Close behind is Maroon 5 with 3 #1's.

Katy Tiz dives 1-3 after four consecutive weeks at #1 with newest single "Red Cup". Before ending its run, Katy Tiz joined Vita Chambers, Macklemore/Ryan Lewis and Swedish House Mafia in a four-way tie for the longest #1 reign of 2013. Swedish House Mafia actually landed 8 weeks at #1 but wrapped its run with only four weeks in 2013.

Kelly Clarkson's "People Like Us" shifts 3-4 in its 25th week on the chart. Clarkson previously landed at #1 for a single week with "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)", and #8 with follow up single "Dark Side". It set the record for "Longest Rise to the Top 5" reaching the landmark in 22 weeks. This record was previously held by "How to Be a Heartbreaker", which ultimately stopped at #5 during it's 21st week on the chart.

Mia Martina gains 7-5 with "La La..." after being stuck in the #11 position for four consecutive weeks. The song was able to crack the top 10 due to its official release on iTunes and other digital media sites.

Loreen tumbles 4-6 with her latest worldwide hit "We Got the Power". It ultimately peaked at #4, and becomes her second lowest peaking single to date.

Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)" dips 5-7. It previously peaked in the top slot for a three consecutive weeks, narrowly missing the same amount of weeks that Macklemore's previous hit "Thrift Shop (feat. Wanz)" ruled for (4). Before reaching the top position, the song set the record for "Most Weeks at #2", advancing over "Sweet Nothing (feat. Florence Welch)" by Calvin Harris, which spent 8 consecutive weeks stalled in the runner-up position.

Emmelie De Forest's "Only Teardrops" slides 6-8. It is just the fourth Eurovision entry to crack the list, and is the second to hit #1 on the tally. Last year's winner (Loreen's "Euphoria") debuted at #1, and became the #15 song of 2012, and the #7 of 2012-2013 (so far). To date it has spent at least 2 weeks at every position in the top 5.

Avril Lavigne's "Here's To Never Growing Up" dips 8-9 after spending 4 weeks at #5, and 4 weeks at #1. 16 weeks ago, the single became the 6th #1 debut in our chart's history. To date it has spent 12 weeks in the top 5, and a total of 17 in the top 10.

Rounding out the top 10, "Radioactive" by the Imagine Dragons rises 14-10. It takes the Streaming Gainer ribbon, and easily marks the best weekly airplay total for the Imagine Dragons to date.

Come back Monday for the chart!
