Jennifer Lopez (aka J.LO) recently released her highly anticipated lead single from her untitled 8th studio album, with frequent collaborator Pitbull. The song, titled "Live It Up, was released on May 8th, 2013. Although you could call it boring and unoriginal, the new single is good in a crazy new way. It starts off with the sounds of kisses, and a bottle of champagne being opened, followed by a lengthy verse from Pitbull. At around the 50 second mark, Jennifer Lopez starts her part. She starts to chant the fairly disturbing bridge, followed by the club thumping chorus. After that, another awkward set of lines is spoken, followed by an interesting beat. Overall, it is better than we expected, but extremely weird. It is likely to be a commercial success, and could easily be a contender for "Song of the Summer".
Botton Line: A mix of creepy, and good lyrics blended with a new yet still signature sound.
