Emmelie De Forest holds at #1 for a second week with Eurovision Favorite/Winner "Only Teardrops". Although it manages to stay at #1, it is down significantly in airplay, and was very close to slipping. It is just the fourth Eurovision entry to crack the list, and is the second to hit #1 on the tally. Last year's winner (Loreen's "Euphoria") debuted at #1, and became the #15 song of 2012, and the #7 of 2012-2013 (so far).
Holding at #2 for an ninth week is Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)". With this frame, it sets the record for "Most Weeks at #2", advancing over "Sweet Nothing (feat. Florence Welch)" by Calvin Harris, which spent 2 complete months stalled in the runner-up position. "Hold Us" follows Macklemore's four week #1 hit "Thrift Shop (feat. Wanz)".
Avril Lavigne's "Here's To Never Growing Up" surges 5-3, after dipping 3-5 last week. 7 weeks ago, the single became the 6th #1 debut in our chart's history. It is up over 15% in total airplay, which fuels its large rise. To date, it has spent 2 consecutive months in the top 5.
Kat DeLuna rises 6-4 with "Stars". The song is her first ever top 5 hit, and the lone new top 5 entry this week.
Ellie Goulding dips 3-5 with third top 5 hit "Figure 8", after a two week stay at #1. Two weeks ago it took the record for "Longest Climb to #1 Ever", topping in its 20th week. Her other two top 5 singles both stopped at #4.
Katy Tiz rises 7-6 with newest single "Red Cup". It experienced considerable airplay increases in the later part of the week and was featured in a facebook contest, which in the end pushed it up one slot.
NERVO's "Hold On"slides 4-7 during its seventh week.
Robin Thicke continues his fast rise, advancing 13-8 with worldwide smash hit "Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. and Pharrell Williams)". This song spent one day as our top single this week, but still only racked enough points to reach #8 this week.
Kelly Clarkson lands her third nonconsecutive top 10 single, as "People Like Us" moves 11-9 in its 17th week on the chart. It was so close to setting a new record!
2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa open at #10 with "We Own It (Fast and Furious)", despite the fact that it only had two complete days of airplay. (Hot Shot Debut)!
Mia Martina launches at #11 with "La La...", which received only three complete days of airplay. Ms. Martina was recently featured as our "Artist to Watch", so be sure to check her out!
Opening at #12 is Jessie J with "Wild (feat. Big Sean)". Although the original monday morning forecast showed a top 5 opening, the airplay for this track slipped in the later end of the week, causing a still large yet somewhat disappointing debut. Don't get us wrong (we still love this song).
Lower on the list, Little Mix re-enters with "DNA" (previously peaked at #7).
Other entries include Too Smooth's "Future Dreams", Calvin Harris and Ayah Marar on "Thinking About You", Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" and much more!
Come back tomorrow for the complete chart!
