Macklemore & Ryan Lewis take the Hot 50 crown for a fourth straight week with "Thrift Shop (feat. Wanz)", barely escaping opposing challengers.
Icona Pop holds 2-2 with "I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)", despite major airplay increases and an overall rise. If the duo can score a #1 with this song, the track will be the 4th Swedish song to crown the chart and Icona Pop will become the 4th Swedish act to claim their debut single a #1 after Loreen, John Martin and Swedish House Mafia.
Loreen holds 3-3 with "Crying Out Your Name". If the single can nab #1, Loreen would become just the 4th artist/group to collect at least three #1's after Maroon 5 (3 consecutive), Rihanna (4 non-consecutive), and Nicki Minaj (4 non-consecutive).
Charging 8-4 is "Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton) by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis. The song earns the "Airplay Gainer" tag and becomes Macklemore's 2nd consecutive top 5 hit after 4 week champ
"Thrift Shop (feat. Wanz). The duo also becomes just the second group/artist to have two songs in the top 5 at the same time, after Maroon 5's "Love Somebody", "One More Night" and "Lucky Strike" all managed to take a top 5 position on the 9/27/12 chart.
Taylor Swift rises 6-5 with "I Knew You Were Trouble" during the song's 19th week. After four albums, and 24 single releases she nets her first top 10 hit on her 25th try. It also came fairly close to breaking the record for "Longest Climb to the Top 5"; it was off by just two weeks.
Vita Chambers dips 4-6 with four week ruler and debut single "Fix You".
Rihanna slides 5-7 with "Stay (Shahaf Moran Remix)" despite a mild rise. It became Rihanna's 8th top 5 single when it peaked at #4 for two consecutive weeks.
Moving 9-8 is Maroon 5's "Daylight". The song became the group's 7th consecutive top 10 hit last week. It follows the group's "Moves Like Jagger (feat. Christina Aguilera)" which peaked at #5, "Payphone (feat. Wiz Khalifa)" which peaked at #1(x4), "One More Night"which peaked at #1, "Love Somebody" which peaked at #1, "Lucky Strike" which peaked at #3, and "Doin' Dirt"which peaked at #5. Despite this, it is the group's first song to not reach the top 5.
Cascada continues rising with Eurovision entry, and 2nd consecutive top 10 single "Glorious". The single advances 10-9, fueled by airplay gains.
Maroon 5's "Doin' Dirt" drops 7-10 in its 20th week. It previously peaked at #5.
Just below the top 10, Eva Simons debuts at #11 with her latest single "Chemistry". It is already warming up on our charts, and is set for a large sophomore week that could propel the single into the top 10.
Come back later this week for the official chart!
