Chart Highlights: Ellie Goulding Hits #1; Katy Tiz, Kat DeLuna, and More Debut

Ellie Goulding lands her highest charting single with third top 5 hit "Figure 8" as it advances 3-1. It takes the record for "Longest Climb to #1 Ever", topping in its 20th week. Her other two top 5 singles both stopped at #4. She steadily rises with her other charting titles "I Need Your Love" and "Anything Could Happen", and is the biggest point gaining artist for a fourth consecutive week. "Anything Could Happen" moves 12-11, and could reach the top 10 in the longest stretch of time ever.

Holding at #2 (for a sixth week) is Macklemore's "Can't Hold Us (feat. Ray Dalton)". The song should easily top the tally as did its predecessor, but Ellie Goulding has proven to be an obstacle, barring the song from the top. The song has significantly gained in recent weeks, and might be able to dethrone the current champ next week. Until then...

Avril Lavigne's "Here's To Never Growing Up" ends its command at #1, after a four week command. Four weeks ago, the single became the 6th #1 debut in our chart's history. It drops significantly in airplay, and slips 1-3.

Sharon Doorson holds at #4 (for a second consecutive week) with the number 3 peaking hit "Fail In Love". Could this be the song's quick ending, or will it manage to hold up?

Rihanna's Hip Hop/ R&B track "Pour It Up" holds at its peak position, #5 (for a third non-consecutive week). It follows 3 other top 5 singles from Rihanna's Unapologetic, and currently is the lowest peaking one.

NERVO's "Hold On" jumps 8-6 during its fourth week.

Icona Pop's "I Love It (feat. Charli XCX)" dips 6-7 after commanding the list 5 weeks ago.

Katy Tiz launches at #8 as the Hot Shot Debut with newest single "Red Cup". It launches due to strong airplay, and favorable critical reception.

Kat DeLuna launches at #9 with "Stars". It was barely edged out by Katy Tiz (it registered 10 plays less than her single). It launches due to strong airplay, and favorable critical reception.

Demi Lovato dips 7-10 with her second top 10 hit "Heart Attack". It previously peaked at #7 for two consecutive weeks.

Lower down the chart, Jennifer Lopez opens at #21 with comeback anthem "Live It Up (feat. Pitbull)",  Robin Thicke opens at #25 with "Blurred Lines (feat. Pharell Williams and T.I.), Mariah Carey opens with "#Beautiful (feat. Miguel)" at #27, Emeli Sandé opens at #39 with "Next to Me" and Lady Antebellum open at #49 with "Goodbye Town".

Come back tomorrow for the complete chart!
