August 22nd -October 24th, 2013: "Applause" (10 weeks)
October 31st, November 14th, 2013: "Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly)"
November 7th: "Venus"
Now things are really starting to get interesting. As Eminem's "The Monster (feat. Rihanna)" opened at #8 and subsequently moved to #6 in week two, it continues to gain rapidly, while Lady Gaga's songs all continue to shrink in plays at an even pace. The question is, will Gaga let Eminem snag #1? It's possible.
I won't say its a lock yet, but "The Monster (feat. Rihanna)" is really starting to take over. As midweek has come and gone (chart dated November 21st), it's easier to tell what will happen but still several songs have bombed against expectations and some have over preformed. My prediction is that "Do What U Want (feat. R. Kelly)" will again be the #1 song, but other main contenders are "Applause" and of course "The Monster (feat. Rihanna)". Still if the Eminem song continues at the same rate it won't reach #1 this week, however it could in subsequent weeks at the end of the year.
