Forecast: "Can't Remember To Forget You" Estimates Fall

After a single day, Rihanna and Shakira's "Can't Remember To Forget You" is already aiming for a lower first week total than expected. While nothing can be confirmed yet, the song is off a considerable amount from my predictions. In it's opening day frame, the song racked up a meager 8 points. That is one of the worst starts for a Rihanna single and the 2nd worst start for a song that contains vocals from Rihanna and another artist.

Comparably, Katy Perry opened to a strong 26 points with her #3 peaking "Roar". Lady Gaga opened with 43 spins with her 11 week #1 "Applause". While this pitiful start can be chalked up to 'disappointment', the song gained the majority of its points within the last few hours of the tracking period. Additionally, it has had rave reviews from music critics and could manage to collect some Twitter and Youtube votes for "Best Song of the Week".

Adjusting for a possible inflation of points earned later in the week, my new estimate is a debut between #15-25 with an overall point count ranging between 45-60. The original prediction showed a projected opening between #1-10 with a hefty 75-95 opening. This is down by a sharp percentage (-~40%) from the original "rough estimate".

Come back for the updated forecast later this week!
